Karen Greenough

Principal

Dr. Greenough is a lifelong learner and believes that education is the foundation for everything else in life. Thus, it is imperative that all students have the supports they need in order to reach their full potential.

She was born and raised in central Georgia. She attended Georgia Southwestern State University, where she received her B.S. Ed. and M.Ed. in English Education, in 2000 and 2003 respectively.  She earned her Ed. D. in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern University in 2009, and added her leadership certification from Valdosta State University that same year. Dr. Greenough also holds certification to teach special education and ESOL classes, and she has completed endorsement programs for gifted, coaching, MTSS, and dyslexia. She has served at all levels of K-12 education, as an English teacher, a K-12 Assistant Principal, and a K-8 Academic Coach.

She is married to Nate Greenough, and they have one daughter, Maddie.  Together, they share their home with four dogs, a cat, and multiple fish.
